Memories

I used to be the BEST journal keeper. I have journals that date back to when I was 9 years old. I journaled almost every day through Jr High and High school and all the way up until I was pregnant with Natalie. Then after that...about once a year. It makes me a little sad because I am sure my children some day would much rather read about their childhood through my eyes then thousands of pages about what boy I liked or how much I couldn't stand my mother(at the time I can stand her now :)

But I guess that's why I stay so on top of this blog because it's a great journal for the kids. They love reading different posts about when they were younger and looking at pictures. I think they are going to treasure this blog when they get older.

Now on to some journal entries ...

I decided that I was going to take a each child on an alone date with me once a month. Even one of the babies because as much as they all love being around each other they love to have some special one on one time. So I started with Natalie last weekend and we went to get our nails done.
She was incredibly excited!

She picked out her outfit
Leggings-Target
Blazer-Gap
Shirt-Macy's
Shoes-Target
Purse-Barbie
Glasses-Hannah Montana (gag!)
We headed over to the nail salon right by our house and it was PA-CKED. Oh my. Then I remembered that there was a really nice looking nail place that just opened next to my chiropractor in Camarillo so we took the drive up to check it out.

It was dead so we gave it a try. Natalie decided to get a pedicure while I decided on a manicure.
She was so cute and acted so adult. She was loving every minute of it.
She took the girl over to the rack of nail polish three times choosing all the colors she wanted.
We were all laughing.

She finished before me so she took a seat in the chair next to me and turned on the massage and they gave her a bottle of water and she loved it.

Her end result purple on one hand and gold on the other both with glitter.

After we were done we went over to a local bakery and picked up some cookies and cinnamon bread. We had a lovely time.

On a side note I have to share this fun little book I ordered here.
Sine I am not the best journal keeper I thought this would be a lot less daunting.
It is a five year year memory book and you just write a memory from the day. It's fun because on the same page is five years worth of the same day so you can see what you were doing on that same day in five years. It's really a cute, easy way to journal.
It's been a month so far and I have been doing good on staying on top of it...let's hope I can for the next five years :)

I like that one line a day book. What a good idea!
