The dance class is an hour long and it was just Natalie and one other girl. Since it just opened the owner said we could take as many classes as we would like for free for the next few weeks and then use our Groupon. She had me at free. I looked over the schedule and saw that there was a dance class right after Natalie's that was for 3-4 year olds and it was a hip-hop class for boys and girls. So we waited an hour for Natalie who LOVED every single second of the fully mirrored room. The girl loves to look at herself. I wish so badly I could have taken some pictures of her but I was too busy keeping the crew busy.

After warm-up the teacher turned off the lights and turned on the disco ball. The other two little girls were thrilled but Noah, well he ran to the door and pressed his face up against the window and made puppy dog eyes and even worked up some real tears all the while screaming "There is no boys in here! Help me Momma there are no boys!"
There are times as a parent you just make your kids do things that they don't like because they have to see it through or it's good for them. Well I saw no benefit of keeping him in the class especially since that nice clean window now has snot and hand prints all over it. So I grabbed him and we left. Noah told me once we got in the car "you said there would be boys!" and then he told the woman at the grocery store three days later his "Momma made me dance with girls." So apparently it was rather traumatic for him.
But I have to say the dance studio and teachers are great! I am very excited for Natalie and am determined to get video and pictures of her next week. And I promise to never make Noah take a dance class with girls again. You should have seen Jed's face when I started to tell him the story..."I decided to let Noah take a dance class with these two little girls..." you know he is totally the type to want his son in dance(insert eye rolls).
Someday Noah will forgive me.
