Birthday Fun

So I turned 29 last Wednesday.
I woke up and felt seriously horrible. Stuffed up, achy, feverish and just all around super duper blah!
The good thing is I could take something stronger than tylenol.
Jed and I had plans and a babysitter for that night.
I was determined to go out.
It was about 2:30 when I could barely breath that I realized that maybe I wasn't up for anything that night.
The kids were super sweet and kept drawing me pictures and were super excited it was my birthday.
Natalie even drew me a birthday cake and had me blow out the candles.
Jed wound up having a bunch of patients and had to work extra late and didn't even get home until 8:30pm. He did come home with a cake( it happened to be one of the assistances birthdays so he brought home half a cake) he stuck some candles in and everyone sang me happy birthday.
I heard the cake was wonderful, I wouldn't know. By the time my appetite came back it was dried out.
On good news I am officially at my goal weight. Yahoo.
Being sick can come in handy....now I just have to continue starving myself :)

What I was REALLY super excited about was going to see Wicked with my Momma.
My brother got us both tickets for Christmas so we could go for my birthday.
Seriously my little brother is so sweet.
I felt like CA-RAP but I knew I would go no matter what.
Jed got home extra early that day and took over the kids and my mom and I headed south.
We had a nice dinner and then headed to the theater.
My mom is so cute.

I was so crazy excited! I have wanted to see the play for years. I headed right for the souvenir booth and I didn't even care that everything was crazy overpriced I got myself a shirt and some cups and I was practically skipping though the lobby.

I had done all kinds of research on the actors prior to the show and was a little disappointed that the Elphaba was actually the standby but I got over it. We had really great seats and I wanted to take a picture of how close we were to the stage but there are about 1000 signs saying no pictures or videos allowed. But I thought if I didn't have the flash on and I just looked like I was texting I could snap a pic...well apparently my flash didn't go off and it was like a giant flash right in the middle of the theater so I dropped the phone really fast and got a great picture of my leg.

Luckily no one kicked me out.
My mom and I both loved it so much and we are already planning our next trip to see it again. This time we are going to sit even closer because we are both pretty much blind :)

Jed and I did finally go out last night to celebrate my birthday. We went to PF Changs and then we headed to mall. Jed said he would take me shopping for my birthday so I promptly walked right to Anthropology and found him a nice comfy chair. We had a wonderful time! More celebrations to come since I had to postpone everything last week. It's nice to make this birthday thing last:)

On a totally unrelated note have you ever tried abcmouse.com?
I am doing it with Noah since I can't find him a preschool that he doesn't think is "boring and filled with babies"
