Life has been busy around these parts and my mother always reminds me when it's time to update this thing:)
So here is what we have been up to,because I know everyone is DYING to know what we do all day... :)
Some pics and random stories worth noting
We met a fun twin mom friend at the fountains and the kids had a blast and since it was Jeds late day and I was feeling adventurous when we were done I decide to take the kids to get food. It wasn't too bad(and luckily the place was pretty empty). I got Natalie Mac N Cheese and Ry a Peanut butter and jelly. Well Ryder ditched the sandwich and was all over that Mac N Cheese. Natalie being the sweet big sister she is just let him share with her.
~Jed and I were gone for a few days and my mom watched the kids with Christin and Kyle(my stepbro). And luckily for them the day after we left the babies got some sort of diarrhea bug that led to some awesome diaper rashes, oh and pink eye and Noah got strep throat. Fun times. I think Kyle left with a pink eye parting gift. But everyone is on the mends now.
So Jed and I went to XP:Inspire conference and awards in Los Angeles last weekend. Basically it's for dentist. We stayed at the JW Marriott which is SO BEAUTIFUL. Oh my. They upgraded us and we had a great room. We were shocked to find this in draw next to the bed! ..
random story: When we were there they were filming the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. And Jed, who always gives me a hard time for watching that show, is the one that pointed them out to me...Mhmmmm. I think he is secretly a fan. I wouldn't have noticed them otherwise.
There was an awards show the last night and it was formal. I had fun dressing up. I wore an Anthropology dress and surprise surprise there was a little hole on the bottom by the end of the night. Darn those cute badly made clothes.
Friday night there was a cocktail social thing at the Grammys museum. Jed and I were the youngest people there by far. And since we don't drink we only made an appearance and then went and got dinner. But the venue was really cool.
The Ritz Carlton Spa...need I say more:)
So Jed gets to the hotel on Wednesday night and he calls me and says that we have a great room with the BEST view. So I get to the hotel to see our killer view and here it is....
Thursday night we attended a party at some restaurant called something, I can't remember...Cabo maybe? Not sure but it was really nice and the food was great. When we walked up to it(everything was at LA LIVE) there were two bouncers at the door. When we walked up one of the men says "Can I help you?" Jed says "Yeah we are here to eat." They guys gives Jed a weird look and I chime in "We are with PDS." The guys smiles and lets us in. I look at Jed "I think the guy understands we are coming to the restaurant to eat, he needs to know we are with the party." It's not often Jed has air head moments(I do often) so I relished in it for a bit. Here we are at the party.
I caught this picture of Natalie and Noah. I find them like this often. They really are best friends. When Noah was sick and my mom had to take him to the Urgent Care he asked if they could call Natalie. Love these two.
Emma and her crazy bed hair
This was Jeds Birthday Cake from Coldstones. It tasted as good as it looks.
Noah is Jeds sidekick. He wants to do everything Jed does. Here he is chilling on Daddy's legs watching PTI with him(as he does most days). Love all my guys.
~I hired a girl to come help with the kids twice a week. She is WONDERFUL! She cooks dinner, cleans, does laundry and watches the kids. The kids love her and so does Jed. She always gives me a list of things to buy for her to make dinner. Well, the things she has on her list I usually can not pronounce and are hard to find at the grocery store. I went to Ralphs and kept asking for Queso Fresco, and I would say it like K-So Fesko. . Finally I asked this sweet older hispanic woman and she just looked at me and laughed then showed me where it was. Apparently I need to work on my spanish.
~With that Queso Fresco she made us yummy enchiladas and Noah kept telling everyone "Monica made us Chihuahuas for dinner and they were SO yummy!"
~Monica was dumbfounded when I said I make my enchiladas with flour tortillas and cream cheese.
~I am like 75% positive I fractured my left foot by falling down the stairs and then wearing high heels for three days straight right after. And if you have been to my house you understand why that is going to prove to be a big challenge.
~
~We were driving and Noah is in the backseat and he keeps saying "Ouch!" I say"Noah what are you doing?" To which he replies "I am pulling out all the hair on my legs."
"Noah why are you doing that?"
"Because they are getting in my way."
ok
~I finally started Downtown Abby and I am about half way through the first episode which I started on Wednesday. I am hoping to finish episode one today.
~It was crazy hair and clothes day at school and Natalie was completely and totally mortified when I tried to do her hair crazy. Her idea of a crazy outfit was a long sleeved red shirt with a grey dress over it and black leggings. Which, I might add, is always her go to outfit. And she wore her hair down with a purple clip and she thought that was classified as crazy because purple doesn't go with red. Love my little fashionista.
~As I am trying to blog this Emma has undone an entire basket of folded laundry, Noah has sprinkled blocks all around and Ryder has emptied the trash can twice. AND I started this post about two hours ago....

For our Anniversary
This year, on June 14th, Jed and I will be celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary.
Instead of going out to dinner and exchanging gifts as we had planned on doing we decided we wanted to do something a little more memorable and meaningful.
My Charity Water is a wonderful organization that is giving access to clean water to villages in Africa. Now, trust me, before I heard of My Charity Water I never really gave any thought to the water in any other country besides my own. But after seeing what is really going on over there we could no longer ignore it.
My Charity water takes 100%, yes 100% of the money donated and sends it directly to Africa to drill and build a well providing hundreds with clean water. They even put a GPS device in the well so you can track where the well you helped build is located directly on google maps. As of today many villages have to spend up to 8 hours every day gathering water, water that is filled with disease and causes extreme illnesses and death.
We are asking our friends and family to help us raise money for this cause.
We ask you please, if you can, to please donate $9 to My Charity Water
Our webpage is here
Thank you!

A Mothers Weekend
On Friday I was invited to a Mothers Day Tea. Natalie and her class preformed several songs and poems and then we were treated to cake and tea afterward.
This girl was beyond excited for me to come. She must have asked me at least 100 times that week if I put it in my phone to come to school.
Love these two. Noah was so excited to go and hang out in class.
Here was my present from Natalie.
Now here is how my daughter apparently sees me...
Favorite food-Vegetables
(which is funny because I make veggies for dinner and both the kids always think it's just because I like them)
My favorite thing to do is to watch tv...huh, which is funny because I actually only watch tv after she goes to bed if I do at all. I am not a huge tv watchers. Funny that that is what she thinks I love to do.
Now this one gets me. My mom spends most of her time relaxing?!? Seriously. I was almost a little taken back by this. Then the nice picture of me with my feet up and hands behind my head like I just sit around and relax all day long. Thanks Natalie. Like with four small kids I get to spend any time relaxing.
I promise when I day dream it is not of Ryder and Emma
This is more like it
Friday night Jed and Noah went on the Father and Son camp out. Noah was incredibly excited! I mean he wouldn't stop talking about it for a whole week. They roughed it about 10 minutes form home...in Malibu...yeah that's really roughing it :)
This boy LOVES his daddy. If I can't get Noah to do something I will say Daddy does it and he is instantly okay with it.
While the boys were camping we had a whole bunch of awesome friends over. I wish I would have taken pictures of the night. We had a house full of women and daughters. Lot's of food, a WHOLE lot of dessert and even more laughter. We love all our friends we have made here.
This is my only picture of the night. All the girls were doing dress-up and having a fashion show.
Jed got home and wanted to take us to see Malibu. I didn't realize how close it was! We took Westlake Blvd down to where it becomes a motion sickness person like myself nightmare. We made it about half way up the hill and I told Jed it's time to turn this puppy around before I lose my lunch. But it is beautiful.
I love love love Mothers day.
We have church at 9am and I woke up to everyone telling me happy mothers day and giving me lots of hugs and kisses.
After church(which was excellent. I even got to attend a special Relief Society while the men took over my Sunbeam class) I came home to have some lunch and then went down for a nap.
When I woke up Natalie was beyond excited to show me the party she had set up for Mothers Day(the girl loves to throw parties)
Here is "Mom Pottey" aka Moms Party
She set up about 15 plates like this with Juice Boxes and everything. Not sure who she was expecting.
I got beautiful flowers from my hubs
And the kids. And they surprised me with a grift card to get the whole house cleaned!
Ahhhh, so excited about that.

It was a wonderful Mothers Day. I love being a Mommy to my beautiful four children and so grateful for my life and opportunity I have to be a stay at home mommy.
In others news my man is turning the big 31 tomorrow and we are so excited to celebrate.
Happy Birthday Jedediah Huss.
And a very very happy Mothers Day to my mommy whom I love so much and hope to be a special momma just like her.

Loving my Closet
For the first time in years I am loving my closet. It could be because it's about the size of our first apartment(which isn't saying much), or it could be because I finally have time to shop, or it could be because I am not longer nursing and require a top allowing easy accessibility to the milk supply or because I am nearing 30 and am finally finding my style. Whatever it is, I finally feel like I can look through my closet and find something to wear.
A few items that make my closet my happy place.
I found this idea on Pinterest. I had my jewlwery on those Compact hooks but just got a small shower curtain and some hooks and there you have it. Works great and keeps my jewelry[-] from getting all tangled.
Here is the Pinterest version of the idea...
I got these jeans(it wont let me copy the picture) and I LOVE them. So comfy and I can dress them up or dress them down. The dark color is really flattering and they are very very long, which for me is perfect.
Got this dress here. It's super slimming and so comfy. Which is great for church.
Got these but in grey. LOVE them. So easy to just slip on and go and more functional than a sandal and a little more stylish then just wearing my gym shoes.
Love these shoes! Now I just need a tan and pedicure. Luckily I have an appointment to get both this Saturday(thank you Groupon!)
Now I love this sweater and I was worried it looked a little matronly, but styled right it's really cute.
Now I should say there is a WHBM about .05 miles from my house. It also so happens to be located in a shopping center with a great play area that hosts kids shows once a week. So we tend to go here a lot. I might be on first name basis with the girls there that whenever they see me coming they fill a dressing room with all kinds of items.
Mary(my go to sales gal) was pretty insistent that this dress looked fabulous on me. When I got home Jed thought I looked Amish and that was the general reception. But I still liked it....but apparently I am the only one, well me and Mary.
Now I have to say I have been getting a few items here, and they have incredibly cute clothes BUT the quality is horrible. Everything I have bought there has fallen apart after one wear. Am I the only one? I bought a shirt there wore it once and noticed right away that it had a snag in it, I took it back and she gave me another one...same thing. So we are no longer allowing Anthro in my happy place. :)

Twin Love
The babies are almost 16 months old.
Mr. Ryder the Biter Huss
This little guy at his 15 month check was just under 19lbs. He is tall and he is skinny.
Ryder is a spunky little dude with a good set of lungs and a love of throwing anything(especially food) and biting anything(especially Emma). He loves to pretend to sneeze and mimics everything he sees. At church yesterday he was pretending to lead the music like the chorister. He is so good about going up and down the stairs without help. He doesn't like help with anything, he especially doesn't like being held or put in a carseat. He likes to walk on his own. He has a new obsession with making sure Emma is clean. He chases her around with a wipe and when she is getting her diaper changed he washes her face. In the tub he likes to wash her hair and pour water on her head. He also enjoys tackling her to the ground. But mostly he loves to cuddle with his mommy while sucking his thumb.
Ms Emma The Mellow Huss
Emma, although looks like she weighs more is actually the same weight as Ryder just a hair shorter. She is the most mellow little thing and loves all animals and especially loves her blankets. I haven't found a food she doesn't like. She is so good at going up the stairs but her approach to going down is to scream until someone pics her up. She is a short napper and if she falls asleep in the car for 2 minutes she is good for the rest of the day. She loves playing "Peek-a-Boo!" and clapping when she does something good. She is starting to hold her own with Ryder and her newest trick is to do a belly flop right on him. She loves to sit in the little recliners and always loves to cuddle with her mommy or daddy.
This is the classic Ryder just took something from me face
I was trying to take a picture of them together. Ryder was not having it.But Emma was proud of herself
This is how Ryder kisses Emma...
And another kiss...
One more...
Wait, I have to give you one more kiss...
What once was yours...
Is now MINE! Bwhaaaaaa!
Spit-up happens
Emma loves to ride on the horse and Ryder likes to rock her
So fun!
Ryders face whenever we say "NO! Ryder!" ...then he usually falls to the floor and starts sucking his thumb...and then tries to do whatever it was he got in trouble for doing all over again.
But in all honesty this is usually what is going on with these two...
